Vicodin Withdrawal Timeline

The half-life of the drug is 4 hours. Therefore, it takes eight hours for the drug to leave the system completely. However, the time for detox depends on the individual as well as the dosage and frequency in which the medication was used. The withdrawal symptoms are most crucial during the first 12 to 48 hours and they may continue to be observed even after the detoxification process has been completed.
