SYSTEMS XCELLENCE RENEWS THREE-YEAR $2.0 MILLION TRANSACTION PROCESSING AGREEMENT WITH HORIZON NJ HEALTHMILTON, Ontario June 7, 2004, Systems Xcellence Inc., ("SXC") (TSX: SXC) a leading provider of healthcare information technology solutions throughout the pharmaceutical supply chain, today announced that it has renewed its Application Service Provider (ASP) contract with Horizon NJ Health (formerly Horizon/Mercy) of West Trenton, New Jersey, a program of Horizon Healthcare of NJ, Inc., a subsidiary of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield. All values are in U.S. dollars. Under terms of the three-year extension, SXC will continue to provide Horizon NJ Health with RxCLAIM® for on-line adjudication of prescription drug claims at the point of service, RxTRACK® to effectively manage health plan benefit design and implementation for their members/clients, and RxMAX® to help manage rebate relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers. Based on the anticipated volume of transactions to be processed, the value of this agreement is expected to be approximately $2.0 million earned over a three-year period.
