Systems Xcellence announced three-year $1.5 million transaction processing contractMILTON, Ontario, April 13, 2004, Systems Xcellence Inc., ("SXC") (TSX: SXC) a leading provider of healthcare information technology solutions throughout the pharmaceutical supply chain, today announced a transaction processing contract with a regionally-based mid-sized pharmacy benefit management (PBM) company located in the U.S. All values are in U.S. dollars. "We are pleased to announce another new customer for our transaction processing suite of services. Together, these contracts will help us to achieve our primary objective of building our base of recurring transactional revenue," said Gordon S. Glenn, President & CEO of SXC. "This new customer provides a broad range of traditional PBM services and multiple network offerings; as a result, this agreement gives SXC an expanded presence in this customer's region and a sizeable increase in the number of transactions processed at our data centre in Lombard, Illinois." Under terms of the three-year agreement, SXC will provide its customer with RxCLAIM®, its industry-leading pharmacy claims processing product. Implementation is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2004 and the contract is valued at approximately $1.5 million over the three-year period. In addition, SXC will provide RxTRACK® for data warehousing and customized reporting services, and RxMAX® to help manage rebate relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers.
